SPECIAL MEETING


City Manager Jason Stilwell gave the invocation.

Councilmember Cordero led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Councilmember Soto was absent for Roll Call.

Mayor Patino convened the meeting and called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m.

City Manager Jason Stilwell announced that the scheduled closed session is postponed to later date to be determined. He stated that the ad hoc committee is continuing its deliberations which were unfortunately delayed due to the Labor Day holiday.

Wilma Kilpatrick spoke about the construction delays the affordable housing project on Battles Road has experienced. She shared that this delay has caused her to experience homelessness. 

City Manager Jason Stilwell stated that the delays are caused by PG&E and have caused delays on other projects. He stated he would follow-up with Ms. Kilpatrick. 

Consent Calendar Items 5.a.1 and 5.b.1 were approved as presented, including the adoption of Resolution No. 2023-128.  The recorded vote appears with each item below.

Councilmember Soto joined the meeting at 5:06 p.m. at the start of this item.

    Adopt the Consent Calendar as submitted.

  • Waive the reading in full of all Ordinances and Resolutions. Ordinances on the Consent Agenda will be adopted by the same vote cast at the first meeting, unless City Council indicates otherwise.

    Adopt a Resolution approving the submission of an application to the Strategic Growth Council Community Resilience Centers Program Project Development Grant for award funding amount of $500,000 to $5 Million and acceptance of award.
