Letters/emails will not be read aloud during the meeting. All correspondence will be distributed to Planning Commissioners, submissions received after the deadline will not be processed until the following day but will become a part of the official record.

MEETINGS 

The Planning Commission holds regular meetings on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Regular meetings start at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 110 East Cook Street, Santa Maria, California. Special and Adjourned Regular meetings start time are to be determined. 

POSTING LOCATIONS OF AGENDA AND/OR CANCELLATION NOTICES 

Regular meeting agendas will be posted at least 72 hours before the meeting (GC§ 54954(a)(1)). Agenda and Cancellation Notices can be viewed online and are also posted at the following two locations: Santa Maria City Hall located at 110 East Cook Street, Santa Maria, California, and at the Community Development Department at 110 South Pine Street, Santa Maria, California.

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

Speakers may provide public comments on any matter within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission.  Each speaker will be limited to 3 minutes, maximum 15 minutes for Public Comment Period. Unless a majority of the Commission objects, the Chair may provide speakers more or less time to speak. All comments or queries shall be addressed to the Commission as a body and not to any specific member thereof. Pursuant to Government Code §54954.2(a)(2), the Ralph M. Brown Act, no action or discussion by the Commission shall be undertaken on any item not appearing on the posted agenda, except to briefly provide information, ask for clarification, provide direction to staff, or schedule a matter for a future meeting.

The consent calendar is approved with one motion. These items are read only on the request of Commission members. Should anyone, including members of the public, wish to discuss or disapprove any item, it must be dropped from the blanket motion and considered as a separate item.

STOWELL ROAD PACKAGE DELIVERY WAREHOUSE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PERMIT

Property Location: 1680 WEST STOWELL ROAD

Review of a Planned Development Permit (PD2024-0003) for Seefried Development Management, Inc. to construct a new 244,418-square-foot Package Delivery facility campus on a 32-acre site in a PD/CM-AG (Planned Development/Commercial Manufacturing and Agriculture Overlay) district of the West Stowell Specific Plan.

Environmental: Environmental review for this project was completed through the preparation of an Environmental Impact Report (SCH# 2025080640) pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act State Guidelines.

• RECOMMENDATION:

  That the Planning Commission take the following actions:

  1. By resolution, certify the Environmental Impact Report prepared for the proposed project; and
